11 Inch Chef’s Ware Skillet and Cover
4QT Chef’s Ware Mixing Bowl
1 ½ Cups Yellow Cornmeal (360 ml.)
½ Cup Flour (120 ml.)
¼ Cup Sugar (60 ml.)
½ Teaspoon Baking Soda (2-3 ml.)
1 ¼ Cups Sour Cream (300 ml.)
Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar and soda.
Beat together the egg and sour cream then add to dry ingredients. Mix well.
Turn batter into prepared Skillet and bake according to the directions for Skillet Method (approximately 20 – 25 minutes).
One cup of milk mixed with ¼ cup melted butter may be substituted for sour cream, if desired. After the bread is cool.
Try splitting it and browning it in butter for extra flavor.
